Description

The course is similar to a 5th-grade class in some private schools. It emphasizes math concept development, critical thinking, and efficient problem-solving skills. Students will learn number theory, prime factorization, common multiples, properties of fractions, decimals, negative numbers, geometry, perimeter, area, surface area, 3-D measures and volume, ratios, percentage, angles, average and rate, statistics & data analysis, algebra, and more. In addition, this course covers some essential 6th-grade topics in lieu of 5th-grade challenging word problems during class time. The challenging word problems help students to prepare for math competitions.
