Grades 6 to 8
Problem-Solving training with past AMC 8 and MATHCOUNTS questions. Compared to the level 4 class, this level 3 class spends more time teaching the concepts required for the AMC 8 and MATHCOUNTS.
Topics include counting and probability, estimation, proportional reasoning, geometry including the Pythagorean Theorem, spatial visualization, real-world applications, reading and interpreting graphs and tables, linear or quadratic functions and equations, and coordinate geometry.
Prerequisite
Non-current Math Circle Competition class students are required to complete an evaluation before enrollment.
